While I am perfectly certain that walking, walking and more walking (which I love and look forward to) around this beautiful city will be sufficient exercise for me, my hubby insists on lifting weights a few times during our 8-day visit to Prague.
We%26#39;re staying at the Grand Hotel Bohemia and it doesn%26#39;t appear that they have a gym on site.
Are there local gyms (or hotels?) that allow visitors to pay per visit?
As for me, my heavy lifting will be limited to the frosty kind in the pubs.
Thanks

there is a world class fitness centre next to the marriott on v celnice street about 5 minutes walk where you can have day membership, but it is not cheap. cheaper is the ymca on na porici street also about 5 minutes walk from the hotel, although the equipment and ambience is not up to the world class fitness level

Thanks so much!

One more item, just in case.
Often he will map out a course to jog/run when we visit a new city. Is this practical given where we%26#39;re staying, the tourist crowd factor, cobbled streets, etc.?
Any chance there%26#39;s an outdoor track in the city?

no. easiest place to go is to go / run through the old town square, down parizska street and then across the bridge and then up the steps to the letna park where there are a number of paths to jog. good views too of the city.
on normal streets, the traffic is too bad and it is too polluted to recommend jogging

Thanks. The park sounds great.
