REVIEW: Vlasska Apartments

Subject: Vlasska Apartments

Location: 7 Vlasska st Prague CZ

Title: Great alternative to ArcadiaResidence!

I tried posting this in the reviews section, but it was rejected. Tripadvisor suggested I re-post it here. The only thing you miss out on is the pictures, but you can see the ones at the arcadiaoldtown website at least.

When we went to Prague this summer we really wanted to stay at Arcadia Residence as it had been reviewed so well on Tripadvisor. Unfortunately there was constuction next doot, so Pasquale did not want us to be inconvienienced and suggested his ArcadiaOldTown apartments instead. He has a website with pictures (I took some too!) at arcadiaoldtown.com which is how we discovered Vlasska apartments.

Not only were these little rooms very well appointed, they were also the most affordable accomodation we had found! We chose Vlasska #2 which was in easy walking distance of the

Prague castle and also the Charles Bridge. In fact we walked all the way to Wenceslas square and back. Now that was pretty far, but still doable.

Pasquale was so nice. He arranged for a car to get us from the airport. The driver was waiting with our name on a sign, and took us right to the apartment where Pasquale was waiting. Pasqual even took care of the driver for us, and we paid him at the end of the

stay. When we went inside Pasquale showed us the layout and provided us with some maps and other guides, and then took us down the street to get us oriented, walking with us to the Charles Bridge and then back and even helped us try to find a place to eat that was open late. (we got there very late and it was past 11:00 when we got to the apt.)

The room was beautiful, and even came with a furnished kitchen which we took advantage of for breakfast the next morning.

The bathrooms were small, but the water pressure was great and we had no problems. Pasquale stops by every day to make sure everything is fine, and was there promptly at noon on our last day to help us out. He even gave us a little box of Austrian chocolate!

How nice is he!?

We had to pay in cash- that%26#39;s one thing to be aware of, but it was no problem as there was an ATM just down the street. And you are well protected at Vlasska becuase the US embassy is only about a block away. Also- if you are looking for a great Czech meal, the

restarurant %26quot;David%26quot; is just around the corner. Very convienient.

Anyway- we know this is not your typical hotel, but if you can make your own bed, and you are going to be in Prague for only a couple of days or even much longer, these little apartments are a great value! I wish we had longer to spend, but when we go back, we%26#39;ll

definitely be looking him up again.

think someone wrote before that even though you stay in an apartment, you are provided with breakfast at the arcadia vlasska apartments, but perhaps you can confirm whether this is the case

|||

we were not offered breakfast, but we were not expecting it either. We were only paying about 80 euros a night I think.

I stayed at the Arcadia but Pasquale mentioned that with the apartment stay there is an option to have breakfast at a cafe nearby (not in the room).

He owns two apartment buildings (one in the Old Town and one near the Castle) so I am not sure if this is the deal with both (and not sure if it costs extra).
