The beginning of my October internation flight home from Prague to the USA will start with a 06:15am departure from Prague. How early should I arrive at the airport? How early does the actual airport open?

The standart time is to arrive 2 hours earlier. I do this myself and always have plenty of time but I guess it%26#39;s much better to wait a few minutes than be late

So the airport really opens %26quot;THAT%26quot; early??? I%26#39;ll get there as early as required, but I really don%26#39;t want to arrive before the doors are unlocked :-))
I booked my reoundtrip transfer with Airport Shuttle and supplied my arrival and departure time, but I just realized they didn%26#39;t tell me what time they would arrive at my hotel to pick me up. I hate leaving so awfully early, but I guess that is the price to be paid for a %26quot;cheap%26quot; ticket, right?

The airport is actually open 24/7.
A lot of charter flights arrive depart/arrive in ungodly very early morning hours.
I assume that you are connecting somewhere (in the EU) because there is no direct flight to the US that early in the morning. If you are connecting in the EU, check-in closes 40 minutes before departure so if you are there 60 minutes before departre it%26#39;s more than enough - especially since at 6 o%26#39;clockish in the morning the streets are virtually empty and the minibus will get to the airport really fast .

Yes, we are connecting in Frankfurt. Do you know how long the minibus will take from Cloister Inn to the airport? Thanks for all of the information.

I%26#39;m only assuming again that the minibus will take you directly to the airport and will not pick up anyone else en route. In that case expect approx. 20 minutes.

check in does open 2 hours in advance, but if you are travelling economy, turning up 1.5 hours in advance (the lufthansa check in queue is very slow) should be ok. if business, 1 hour in advance should be sufficient.
from cloister inn to the airport (terminal 2) at that time of the morning should take about 30 minutes.
beware at this early time of the morning, very few shops and restaurants at the airport are open
