Idos problem

Hi- can someone please help!

I am attempting to book the SC 511 train for Saturday July 21st from Prague Holesovice to Olomouc for my son. I booked a train on the IDOS website a month ago successfully as a trial to see how the website worked but it must not have been this particular one as there is no yellow square next to it indicating %26#39;pre-reserve%26#39; yet according to bahn.de it requires a reservation and it looks as though it is one of the fast ones. Are there some trains which you just can%26#39;t book through IDOS?

Also IDOS gives it as 15.26 from Holesovice and bahn.de has it as 15.06 from Hlavni Nadrazi and 15.26 from Holesovice but mentions the metro aswell. Does anyone know if this kind of train starts from Hl N. then stops at Holesovice or if metro is the only way of connecting the two.

SC511 departs from Holesovice at 15:26.

There is NO train to Olomouc at 15.06 from Hlavni nadrazi.

Since he will travel on Sat afternoon I don%26#39;t think you need to worry about booking the ticket in advance. On weekends Pendolinos run usually half-empty.

Just buy the ticket at the train station before departure or even onboard (there%26#39;s like 20 CZK surcharge if you buy the ticket from the conductor.

Price of the ticket is 400 CZK (+20 CZK).

%26quot;Requires reservation%26quot; in reality means that the fare is made up of the actual fare + 200 CZK seat reservation fee since Pendolino allows only seated passengers

i would not rely on the idos website to book trains but would buy the ticket in advance either from the station or the city centre offices of czech railways next door to the Marriott hotel)
