Does anyone have experience with taking their laptop computer with them to Prague? I%26#39;d like to bring mine to download and store each day%26#39;s digital photos from the camera, but don%26#39;t know if anyone%26#39;s experienced or heard of trouble bringing the computer through airport security and customs. I can%26#39;t afford to lose the thing due to some language barrier or misunderstanding, or worse, a violation of some rule.
Thanks for the advice.

As far as I am aware no one tried to blow up a plane with a laptop computer so they are not banned... yet:) Unlike gels, water, box cutters, etc.
There is absolutely no problem with laptops as a carry-on luggage.

I%26#39;ve carried my laptop through security dozens of times in the last few years in Prague. No problems whatsoever. Security is, in my experience, a bit more sensible over there.
Only thing you%26#39;ll need is a plug adapter. Standard European two-prong work just fine although most outlets in Czech are female three-prong grounded.

I appreciate the report. Thank you.
I%26#39;m glad I won%26#39;t have to put it in my checked baggage, too.
I%26#39;ll have an outlet converter along for my electric razor, so it sounds like I%26#39;ll be prepared with the right adaptor, too.

never put your laptop in checked baggage. at airport security, you just need to take the laptop out of your hand luggage and screen it separately

Good advice. Thank you, Peb.
