Hello again,
Being as we have three days in Prague before moving on to Krakow, is Kutna Hora a worthy side trip or should we concentrate our efforts on Prague proper.
Thanks in advance!

I think 3 days will be used up just seeing the sights of Prague, but if you want a day trip the Kutna Hora is a good short one.
Many companies do organised trips and if you are short on time they offer reasonable value and get you round the place quickly.
I have been there twice both times taking the train from Prague.
The Bone Church at Sedlac is wonderfully gruesome but is a 2 kilometer walk or bus ride from the main town.
The Italian Court Building is wonderful and we managed to get a private tour for the 3 of us round it,had to wait a little time to get it organised but it was well worth it, there is a small tourture museum there as well. The cathedral is a stunning place too with wonderfully emotive wall murals and the views from this area are stunning. There is also the silvermine and museum which is worth a visit unless you are very clautrophobic.lots of pub/resturants about with great food and beer also some lovely old buildings.
A great little town for a visit but be warned it is set on a fairly steep hill and you will have to do a bit of walking

This is the first time I have to disagree with unclegus, but just a liiiittle big.
The silvermine is nothing special and you do not have to be very claustophobic - you BECOME claustophobic when you go there. Happened to me. The walk down is getting more and more narrow, at some point you can%26#39;t even walk upright, it is absolutely horrifiing and nothing really interesting to see.

that kind of experience horrifying happens to unclegus every saturday afternoon with the jambos.
for only 3 days in prague, i would stay in prague. if you want somewhere outside the centre, take the metro to the original prague castle at vysehrad
