What is the best way four 4 ladies to get from Holesovice train station to Intercontinental hotel

Whatever you do, DO NOT take one of the taxis outside the trainstation! Hoteltransport is a bit more expensive, but still your best option, as it nis not that far to the hotel. If you happen to have a local phone, you can dial AAA taxi as well (14014).

Also the Metro is close by, depending how much luggage you have. As you are a group, even though a small one, pick pockets would probably look at you with interest. Groups are usually easier distracted...

metro at namesti republiky is 15 minutes walk from holesovice station and in addtion, you need to change metro lines inbetween. there is though a direct tramline running between holesovice station and the tramstop outside the intercontinental. this is tram 17. a 20 crown ticket, plus a 10 crown ticket for luggage if your luggage exceeds aircraft hand luggage, is all that is needed and tram tickets are available at the entrance to the metro station at holesovice station.

if you have too much luggage, then there are AAA taxis at a stand at holesovice. as martina says, they are safe and reliable, but not other taxis. some of the private transport companies such as www.prague-airport-shuttle.com can arrange to pick you up and have someone waiting at the station for you, as can the Intercontinental itself is you book through the concierge (and you can charge the cost to your room if you have no local currency when you arrive)
