Recommend a hotel

I am going to prague 30th Aug 2007 for 3 days, can anyone recommend a nice hotel, have stayed at the Tulip Inn previously but would like one a little more near the centre where the shops and bars are, looking at paying £150 -200 for the 3 nights for 2 adults.....please help

P.s i would like somewhere that does nice bacon for breakfast !

I have looked at the Harmony hotel but people on tripadvisor say it is noisy at night??

Thanks

Jo :-)

if you are after an english style breakfast, then you need to look at american corporate hotels like the renaissance (but this is probably more than 60 pounds a night, especially in august.

the ibis praha old town and the best western bila labut are closer, but cannot comment on the bacon. harmony is right on the street where the tramline goes all day and night which is why it is noisy. ibis is on the same street but all rooms face away from the street into a courtyard

thanks for your help, i will check it out.

On our last trip to Prague, we considered the Tulip, but decided to stay at the Hotel Roma in the Mala Strana and were very pleasantly surprised by how comfortable it was. It%26#39;s fairly near the Charles Bridge, but still in a quiet neighborhood which was great. I wrote a review of it after we returned, and we will definitely consider staying there again on our next trip.

you must have had a room at the back of the hotel. at the front of the hotel roma is the tramline used day and night which for light sleepers makes sleeping very difficult

Yes, our room was at the back of the hotel: we had read the other reviews and it%26#39;s true, the rooms at the back are apparently much quieter.
