is 3 days enough in prague?

i wan 2 decide whether 2 put more days in prague n vienna n deduct days spend in berlin instead.

initial plan

berlin 5 days

prague 3 days

vienna 3 days

I would do a 4-4-3, and all cities are worth a longer stay - I have been in Prague 14 years and still don%26#39;t have enough :-)))))

|||

Spent three days last year and it wasn%26#39;t nearly enough. Going back this fall again. Prague is wonderful.

|||

iv been to Berlin and Prague and would definately

rather have 5 days in Prague than Berlin.

|||

Berlin has great museums and palaces, otherwise not a great city for me. I would do 4 in Berlin, 3 in Vienna, 4 in Prague.

To all of you who have been to Prague:

What did you do in Prague besides the museums and palaces?

I%26#39;m not much of a museum nor palace person, but I%26#39;d like to go go to Prague simply because there%26#39;re 3 opera houses within the city, and it%26#39;s very inexpensive to go to the opera there, and seond reason is, I%26#39;ve heard that it%26#39;s a beautiful city.

What do I do during the day, other than walking around and hanging out at the cafes? Will I cover the entire city on foot in a day?

|||

go to the zoo

petrin hill

a boat ride on the river.

theres actually lots to do in prague, just depends on what your into.

I would say both Berlin and Prague need at least 3 days each to do them justice. If your thinking of seeing some of the sights outside the city centres such as Potsdam and Karlovy vary then add another day or two to each. I would thus change your list to: Berlin=4 Days; Prague=4 days; Vienna=3 Days.

which kind of transportation will u use from prague to Vienna? if train or car or bus u must stop for one day and night in Cesky Krumlov for sure. my mind is it is enought to stay 3 days in Berlin, 3 days in Prague, 1 full day in Cesky Krumlov, 3 days in Vienna. the last day is free, take rest.

Hi Ashley,

I lived in Prague for 3 years and I would say 3 days is enough. The main attraction is the Architecture which you can see pretty well in 2 days walking. Of course if you want to go to the theatre/Opera in the evening for something specific time it around that but I really found that the insides of the museums etc were nothing exceptional.

If you%26#39;re really into drinking beer all night then of course add lots of extra days to Prague.

In the Czech Republic there are some great castles etc so I would take the advice above to spend maybe a day stopping off somewhere on the way down to Vienna, Cesky Krumlov sounds good.

Depending how you%26#39;re travelling maybe stop in Dresden for a day between Berlin and Prague or up in the mountains around Spindlerov Mlyn.

the suggestion of 4 days in berlin (including 1 in pottsdam), 1 day in dresden, 3 days in prague and 3 days in vienna is a good one.

in the day in prague, you wonder around looking at the historical buildings. you can plan for one day to look round the castle and the castle area and one day for the old town at least. there is plenty to see
