Sorry, I know that there are so many hotel questions!
Mrs Robertson is quite fussy about her hotels and I want to treat her to a nice couple of days in Prague. Suggestions as to what will tick the following boxes would be appreciated - central, clean, not too small, modern feel, nice bathroom with nice smellies, king size and comfortable bed, nice breakfast, a view would be nice but not essential. If a UK/US comparison helps, think Radisson, Hyatt Regency, Malmaison, Alias or City Inn brands (our very favourite hotel is TheHotel in Vegas if that helps paint a picture). I would ideally want to keep the price below £250 a night.
Many thanks in advance.
Matt.

radisson is here, so is the marriott (which has a more central location than the radisson). for a malmaison type place, look at the pachtuv palace. Grand hotel bohemia has recently had some of its rooms refurbished at the top floor rooms have a good view. you may also be able to get a room at the mandarin oriental off season for this kind of price

The Hotel Aria (next to the American embassy in quiet Mala Strana) offers ALL that ,what you are listing as requirements. For a view ,of great gardens to which guests now also have access (it does not belong to the hotel) try the Bach Suite, although the simpler Tchaikowski room also has a view of it. Alternatively I think Pachtuv Palace will be great .

We just stayed at the Hotel Josef, a 5 minute walk to old town square. great location, great room, great breakfast, roof top view from our room 706, Fantastic king bed, free internet.

look also at the new crowne plaza prague castle which has newly opened right next to the castle and which people who have satyed have commented favourably on this site

small correction to what I wrote: the Aria Hotel is actually quite small. From the street it looks even very tiny. I loved it but if you want BIG then I guess the nearby Mandarin Oriental will fit better, plus that it has a spa. But I loved the music theme of the Aria, the great gardens and the sound-proof rooms with own PC, music centre, DVD player.
