Trip from Berlin-Prague-Vienna-Munich-Switzerland

We are travelling from Berlin-Prague-Vienna-Munich-Switzerland during end of september. We are student backpackers.

Berlin 3 days

Prague 4 days

Vienna 4 days

Munich 2 days

Switzerland 7 days

Can anybody please suggest a good and cheap way to travel among those countries? By train? We would not mind sleeping in train trip from one place to the other.

I heard about flexipass or other passes by rail europe. It is a cheap way to use these passes? And which pass should I use? How should I travel with these passes?

Is 4 days in Prague and 4 days in Vienna too much? Should I deduct this to 3 days in each place and 5 days in Berlin instead?

I think you need an interrail global pass. check prices and conditions here:

internationalrail.com/interrail/interrail-gl…

You%26#39;ll get 50 percent discount on tickets, in Germany only 25 percent. I know that there are cheaper ways to travel by train in Germany. In example a weekend ticket for a group of up to 5 persons is only 33 Euros but you have to use the slow trains which will at least double your journey time and there won%26#39;t be much sleep.

It%26#39;s very cheap to travel in Czech Republic as well, don%26#39;t know about Slovakia, Austria and Switzerland.

4 days in Prague is not too much but on the trip from Berlin to Prague you could stop for a day in Dresden. From Prague to Vienna you could stop in Brno. The Bus from Prague to Brno is only 150 Czk, 5 Euros per person.

I would take one of your vienna days and spend an additional day in berlin.

note that many of the european rail passes are not valid in the czech republic, but czech rail prices are cheap compared to germany and other countries

That%26#39;s a hell of a good sounding trip! We were planning on Prague 3 days, Vienna 2 days, Munich 2 days, Zurich 2 days, Strasbourg 2 days and then back to Prague for another 3 days. Two weeks total. Let me know how it turns out! :)

do you really need 3 + 3 days in prague. I would put one of the prague days to vienna

most of the other places you can see much in a day - which is essentially what you will have with traveling inbetween. there are a lot more interesting places than zurich and strasbourg
