apartment needed for group of girls one with disabilty

Can anyone recommend an apartment which is central preferably old town for a group of women, one of which has an artificial leg she s been to prague before with no probs shes very fit but can t manage huge amount of stairs we stayed at ramada grand before but as there is 7 of us going this time i think an apartment wouuld be better. ive looked at riverside apart but someone commented that she may find the steps a problem,

Any ideas

look at some of the companies which other people have mentioned as using when staying in apartments and take an apartment when the building has a lift. you may find booking 2 apartments in the same building is cheaper than one apartment for 7 (large apartments often come only in luxury versions, at luxury prices)

Hi,

I%26#39;m not sure if this is for you but just in case.

I have stayed at Hotel Residence Mala Strana 3* twice this year. Once alone and another time with a friend, both times in their %26quot;junior suite%26quot;.

Their 1 room junior suite can take maximum 3 persons (2 in beds and 1 on couch bed) and in their 2-room %26quot;senior suite%26quot; 4 can sleep (2 in beds in the sleeping room and 2 in the living room in 2 couch beds). Each room has kitchenette and fridge. In any case, you would need to take 2 or 3 rooms.

To enter and get to the hotel reception, there are maybe just a couple of steps maximum. And no steps on the way to the lift. Their lift even has a folding seat (old fashioned isn%26#39;t it ?).

It%26#39;s not a huge hotel like Ramada (I don%26#39;t know that particular one where you been to though). They have maybe 50 rooms altogether or less, a small reception area, breakfast is taken in a room level -2 but can be reached by the lift, no problem.

To reserve and get detailed informations, I%26#39;d rather send them e-mail to the following address than going through their site. Also they have been helpful by telephone. All the girls at the reception speak very good English.

recepce@hotelresidence-mala-strana.com

Can the location of the hotel be a problem ? Mala Strana area that I like very much personally but it would not be practical if your friend has problem getting on/off the trams. Stops for many lines nearby. Or are you taking taxi anyway? To the riverside, at the foot of Legii Bridge, it%26#39;s less than 5 minutes walk. Or 10 minutes to Charles%26#39; Bridge.

Good luck!

did you look at the websites posted above and find nothing? or is it too much hassle to look at websites?

|||

yes i did look up the websites but im finding it difficulty to find an apartment for 7 people and also one suitably for my sister who has an artifically leg.Are you aware that your manner can be very off putting for people who are looking for help ,im aware that you give information out of your own goodwill but to be honest it would really put me off asking for your help.I ve both give and sought help from trip advisor and found it invaluable.

thnks kat have looked at the hotel and deffo shortlisted it just want to make sure my sister does nt have to many problems with her mobilty.

nearly all the websites mentioned above have apartments for 7 people or more than one apartment in the same building sleeping 4 where instead of renting one large apartment you can rent two apartments (which as mentioned above will in many cases be cheaper) and therefore my question was why none of the websites fit your needs. The websites mentioned above all mention where the apartment building has or does not have a lift.

If you still need other websites, look also at the following

www.appia-apartments.cz

www.pragueexperience.com

www.prague-apartment-rentals.com

from the very small description which you have given on your needs, it is would be difficult to expect that you could not find any apartment from the above 8 websites, unless you are booking at short notice

Hi

We stayed as a group of five women in the apartment below (A5). We had 3 dbl rooms with two twin beds in each and there was one single bed in an alcove on the first floor. One of our party has mobility/disability issues so we had specific requirements too.

She had the downstairs bedroom which had one of the shower rooms next door and the open plan lounge/kitchen on the same floor also - so no stairs to use inside the apt.

There a few stairs into the apt and you%26#39;d need to use the tram (10mins approx to town). The stop is right outside. Depends if you think getting on a off would be OK.

I realise that%26#39;s a lot of %26#39;if%26#39;s%26#39; and that some of the above may not work but...here%26#39;s the link anyway

Lots of reviews of these apts in this forum and on TA.
