Going to Prague for 4 days at height of tourist season in Oct, and staying over weekend besides, is going to break the bank. Any 4* or so hotel is double of what I can afford.
Reserved the Hotel Atlantic, as it seems the best bet in terms of price, location, rooms and service, from what I can gather. It gets mixed reviews so I am wondering if anyone can comment if this hotel is as good or as bad as other 3* places? Or if I should continue to look elsewhere?
I prefer to stay close to the center of Prague, but noticed that hotels near the castle and elsewhere in Mala Stana in general seem less expensive. Would Mala Stana be inconvenient, especially when going out at night?

atlantic is a somewhat old hotel and there is a tramline in front of the hotel, so the rooms at the front will not be for light sleepers
In terms of looking for alternatives, what you don%26#39;t say is what kind of price you are looking at paying. some of the local agencies below will be able to give you a selection of hotels you can compare with the atlantic

You can get the Hotel Cloister Inn for 102 Euro per night on www.yeego.com. It gets good solid reviews here on Tripadvisor.

cloister inn does have good reviews, is well situated and worth considering

Thanks for the input. I think I should be checking out a few more spots, like the Cloister Inn, as suggested. Also, those online booking sites are also helpful, so still have time to do my homework. Thanks.
