Getting from Prague to Frankfurt

Hi,

Could anyone suggest the best and affordable way to get from Prague to Frankfurt? I%26#39;d have to leave Prague on Sunday 8/12 to catch my flight on Monday morning.

Any advice would be super helpful!

best doesn%26#39;t mean affordable. quickest is by plane but will be the most expensive. there is one overnight train and also an overnight bus

|||

do you know if it would be possible to purchaise the train tickets 2 days before on Friday night, would the ticket offices be still open? I found it a little challenging to find this info online.

|||

the train station ticket offices are open in the evenings, but late at night are only open for immediate travel. you are better to go to buy the ticket on saturday morning

There are two bus lines to Frankfurt/M operated by Eurolines on Aug. 12 departing from the Prague-Florenc bus terminal at:

17:00, arriving 23:45

22:00, arriving 05:45

www.eurolines.cz

price of one-way ticket is 1100-1400 CZK

The train is definitely more comfortable.

but takes much longer (10 hours as opposed to 7 hours by bus)

Just to add more info on the train: If you are thinking about buying ticket for the EuroNight direct train to FRA ask about the %26quot;SparNight%26quot; discount (limited number of seats in each train). In that case one-way ticket Prague-Frankfurt costs 1131 CZK (approx. 40 EUR) for couchette.
