how easy it is to travel by train from Brno to Vienna for the day?

Spending five days in Brno in July and hubby wants to see Vienna, any info gratefully received!

Trains go almost every 2 hours there and the trip is around 2,5 hours...

I did it once. I remember the train being about 2 hours. Get there early though. I had to stand for the whole journey. Painful.
