I will be visiting Prague with my fiancee the coming septmeber and we were thinking of taking some tours with pragueexperience agency. Did anyone make use of this agency before? We would like to know if it is worth going for tours with it?

pragueexperience is well known and reliable. some of the tours (out of town, pub tours, themed meals) are better value for money than others.
how you like to spend your time on holiday differs from person to person, but from an individual perspective, I see no use in spending money on a general tour of prague unless you have special needs. prague generally is best explored by yourself with a map wondering down streets that take your fancy, rather than following an umbrella all day at someone else%26#39;s pace
which tour were you interested in?
|||
We were thinking of taking the tours to Cesky Krumlov and Karlstejn Castle. I
n prague we plan to travel alone.
Also we would like to go and watch some black light theatre and maybe a ballet.
Are there any places you would strongly suggest?
|||
a tour to cesky krumlov enables you to get there and back in one day as the travel time to cesky krumlov is over three hours each way.
you do not need to waste money on a private tour to karlstejn. The train from prague takes you there for 2 euros each person each way. only go on a guided tour if they can guarantee that you see the chapel of the holy cross.
Ballet is good to see, but you need to check if ballet is on. www.ticketsbti.cz have a good schedule and are a reputable ticket agency.
black light theatre is by the main a tourist trap and I would not recommend it

I visited Prague in May and went to a black light theatre performance because one person in our group of three wanted to see it.
Don%26#39;t waste your money, unless you need a good laugh.

Regarding Public transport. Is it efficient? Do you find any information from the train stations because it is hard to find the routes online. I am using a site www.idos.cz but unless you actually know the names of the stations it doesn%26#39;t give any information
|||
public transport in prague is one of the most efficient in the whole of europe. most people living here don%26#39;t use their cars at all during the week. www.idos.cz has trains from prague - the website is easy to use - just click on the union jack at the bottom right hand corner of the page. the prague transport system website is www.dp-praha.cz
which public transport lines do you want and where do you want to go? trams in the day run at about 5 minute intervals

Another question on a totally different topic. Are there any supermarkets close to Namesti Miru?
|||
there is an Albert supermarket in the Pavillon shopping centre on slezska street about 5 minutes walk from namesti miru, one in the concourse of the muzeum metro station which is the next metro station to both ip pavlova and namesti miru and one on karlovo namesti next to the tram stop from where the trams go up the hill to namesti miru
|||
From my experience the supermarket in the Muzeum concourse is very small and has a really limited choice so I wouldn%26#39;t bother unless you%26#39;re desparate. If you%26#39;re heading that way on the Metro anyway I%26#39;d stay on another stop and go to the Albert next to Mustek which has everything you%26#39;d possibly need. Heading in the other direction from Namesti Miru the one at Flora%26#39;s really good too. Like peb7 says the public transport%26#39;s so efficient and cheap you can get to them in minutes.

Thanks for all this helpful information.
