We are planning to travel from Prague tp Budapest on 10/3/2007 Can locate only one reasonably proced flight on Hahn airlines or a 7 hour train ride Any recommendations

never heard of hahn airlines. the only airlines that fly between prague and budapest are czech airlines and malev
bear in mind that if you fly, you need to get from prague city centre to prague airport, check in on time, fly, wait for your luggage and then transfer from budapest airport to budapest city centre. even though the flight time is only one hour the city centre to city centre time by plane could be 5 hours, only 2 hours less than the train which is less hassle and much cheaper

the train is astoundingly easy, comfortable in 2nd class, leaves and arrives in town. For much of our trip, we had a 6 passenger 2nd class compartment to ourselves. On the Hungaria which leaves Prague about noon there is a dining car as well.
