Where to dine - what to see

Coming to Prague in June/July time frame next year - never been to Europe (other than London). Strong desire to see Prague and the beauty of the city. Suggestions on nice hotels, restaurants and sightseeing activiities would be appreciated. We enjoy getting to go to local hangouts and hopefully chat with the locals a bit, as well as tourist spots.

Hard to know what you are looking for, but I write the only English-language food and drink blog on Prague. You can check it out and see if anything strikes you.

A good recommendaiton for eating, drinking and entertainment is Cafe Dinitz on Na Porici. They often have life music or a DJ.

My favorite restaurant is Kogo at Slovansky Dum -- Mediterranean cuisine, seafood, pasta, and pizzas.

Try Celnice for Olympia or Czech specialties and fresh Pilsner Urquell.

Cafe Savoy for breakfast or lunch.

Oh yeah, here%26#39;s the blog:

Has Cafe Dinitz sold yet?

Haven%26#39;t been by Cafe Dinitz in many weeks -- didn%26#39;t know it was for sale.

There was a restaurant also called Dinitz that changed its name to Bissli:
