Just about to leave Prague when I realized that I made a big mistake by buying the Prague Card. I thought that it would be nice not to have to buy a ticket for each attraction. However, I didn%26#39;t even come close to getting value with it. First, many of the most important sights like the Jewish Museum, the Strahov Library and the Loreta are not included. Secondly, some of the sights weren%26#39;t open like the Royal Crypt but you essentially end up paying for it anyway. (Another sight, the National Museum was free anyway). Finally, despite being very active, I didn%26#39;t end up getting to most of the sights that I had planned to. For example, we tried twice to go to the Petrin tower but once we weren%26#39;t allowed to enter eventhough it was 30 minutes to closing and the other time it was raining very hard. Plus, you have to carry around somewhat large book of vouchers everywhere. Don%26#39;t make the same mistake I did.

i am not a fan of the prague card either. you end up spending your holiday trying to visit places just because they are on the card so that you can be seen to get value for money for the card, rather than just visting places places that interest you. a public transport pass and payment of entrance fees for the places you want to go into (entrance fees in prague are not expensive) is sufficient
