I%26#39;m leaving Prague on August 22nd by plane at 9am.
Is there some holiday on that date?
Quoting peb7 from the %26quot;Train from Prague to Vienna%26quot; post:
%26quot;...apart from christmas, easter and on 22nd and 23rd August this year, it is extremely rare for rail tickets to be sold out completely and that train...%26quot;
Should I allow more time to get to the airport?

Aug. 22 is a regular weekday. If you are at the airport by 7:45-8:00 you should be fine.

on the evening of august 22nd, the old empire, Austria, plays the former colony, Czech Republic, at football in vienna. this fixture hasn%26#39;t happened for a very long time and therefore on that day and the morning afterwards (23rd), it will be very difficult to find space on a train between prague and vienna even if you book now. hence my comment on a post to someone who wanted to travel by train between prague and vienna and who asked about availability.
check in time for prague is 1 hour minimum, but for some flights, you essentially need to check in earlier. tell us where you are flying to and we will give you further advice

Thanks,
I understand.
I will be flying back to Canada via Zurich. I intend to be at the airport 2 hours before the flight. The prg-zurich portion is Swiss Air flight 1485 operated by Cirrus Airlines leaving at 9:55am.

1.5 hours before the flight should be sufficient for swiss flights - the plane is not a large one (but is a jet). remember that you need the old terminal (terminal 1)
