Nice, Chariming, but Reasonable Hotels in Mala Strana

Can anyone recommend a hotel in Mala Strana? It should be fairly cheap (90€ for a double) and have a decent breakfast, and air conditioning. It would also be great if its nice and charming..like away from busy streets(meaning auto traffic, not necessarily people) , maybe a cobblestone street near some nice cafes?

Thanks!

you are going to find the air conditioning part of your requirements very difficult to fulfil, especially with the price range. that you want (90 euros including breakfast). you don%26#39;t say when you would like to come, but as advised in previous threads if you stay in an old building unless the temperature gets really hot you do not need air conditioning unless you are in the attic rooms.

I would suggest you try with one of the local hotel agencies like www.travelcook.com who will have a better idea of the air conditioning of the hotels they deal with if this is really necessary

What do you consider really hot? We%26#39;ll be coming July 31-August 2...

you (apparently) live in munich so if you don%26#39;t have air conditioning in your flat / house, you should have an idea of when you wished you needed it - the weather in prague is not much different from the weather in munich as prague is only 3 hours or so away

most locals start to wish they had air conditioning when the temperature reaches towards 30 degrees celsius

yea, I can deal with out air conditioning but my relatives whow ill be with me can%26#39;t. Thats the problem. And according to the forecast its supposed to reach 30+ these next few days, and I am afraid if its liek that when we come Iwill have lots of cranky relatives to deal with!

check out www.booking.com , that will give you a good idea of what hotels you can get for your budget. Lots of search options there.

For one special night I%26#39;d recommend Hotel Aria (google for their website)

Erdbeere,

We%26#39;re just back from Prague, yesterday, and stayed in a really good place - crowne plaza castle hotel, it%26#39;s new, clean, has air con. and is right next to the lovely area around the monestary, just a short walk from the castle and mala strana. A quiet part of the city without feeling miles away!!

We didn%26#39;t have breakfast however but got a good rate on the internet, check out their web site and this one for reveiws and photos.

have fun.

I%26#39;m planning a trip to Prague also, and have a family member who wants AC. Try looking on Expedia, click on %26quot;narrow your search%26quot; to find hotels with AC. Not much in Mala Strana with AC in your price range, but Rick Steves recommends Hotel Julian, which I think I found on Venere.com and Orbitz for $121-$126. Prices vary wildly depending on website.
