Prague Walks!

Has any one taken the guided Prague Walks? www.praguewalks.com

I was thinking of taking the Ghost walk, the Prague Venice and the Grand walk or Castle walk.

I took a ghost walk in London and one in New Orleans - they were fun, so I was hoping the same for Prague.

Please advise.

We did the Prague walk and thought it was great. They gave us tickets for a free night walk...it was so cold we did not do it but another time I think a Prague walk by night would be so neat.

prague walks are well known. you don%26#39;t need to book in advance generally just turn up next to the astronomical clock in the old town square. there are a number of other companies who do walks from the same location so you can compare itineraries and prices.

for the castle, hiring a guide from the castle itself will give you a better insight than to go on a general walk as you often get access to out of bounds parts that the general public cannot go to

i took the Grand tour and recommend it. it%26#39;s a nice introduction to the major sights of Prague, if somewhat overwhelming since there are so many beautiful buildings! for a more in-depth Prague Castle experience take the Castle walk.

I also took the pub tour and it was a lot of fun bec. of Tomas, our guide, and the couple other tourists on the walk. Got to try Staropramen, Kozel, and Bernhard...so can%26#39;t complain :-)

beer is a personal taste, but from my point of view, starompramen and kozel light are some of the worst beers in the country. bernard though is very good

i didnt care much for Staropramen as well, and had the Kozel dark (which i loved - i have a sweet tooth). Na zdravi! :-)

Thank you for all the great tips! My husband and I are going in October, I can hardly wait. It will be the first time in Prague for both of us. We%26#39;re ready for the good beer, food and sites!

I really liked the walking tour because it really helped us get our bearings....our guide also gave us so much insight about the city, customs, how to ride the trams, how to get tickets to events..etc. etc. After the tour we went back to our favorite spots for the next 3 days and both felt because of the tour we did not waste nearly as much time getting lost.
