Hi,
Returned this weekend from a fantastic break, but was a little disappointed that the apartment booked was not as expected. The website stated high speed internet and 100 channels of satellite TV, when in reality there was no pc/internet at all, and only 3 TV channels. This was not a great problem for us, after all we were there for other reasons than to surf the web and watch TV. More disappointing was the fact that the fridge did not work, the fan did not work, and the coffee machine advertised was not there.
I did get in touch with the agent that we had booked through, who promised to get in touch with the owner, but of course nothing further was heard.
At the end of the day I am not too bothered about any of the omissions; we saw the apartment as a place to rest our heads overnight, and little more. I still think that we got a reasonable deal.
I would however like to ensure that other people don%26#39;t end up disappointed, so would like to know whether there is a trade body or similar that monitors the advertisement of tourist accommodation. The website still states that the apartment has internet, satellite tv and a coffee machine; this is all untrue.
Can anyone advise?
Thanks in advance.

which apartment?

Yeah which apartment, may need to be a little more specific here

apartment rentals are not regulated by any trade body, as they are also not in the UK. as said by others above, saying which company you booked through and giving the apartment name will help others avoid booking the apartment which you did and having the same experience

Many thanks for the responses, it seems a shame that there is nothing to stop the blatant misrepresentation of the amenities at this apartment.
I will add something to the hotels section, when I get a chance.
Thanks again.
