Exchange at airport

I just read that Electron card may not work at Prague ATMs. I%26#39;m thinking on bringing euro in cash and buying Czech crowns as I arrive at the airport. Could you tell me if there is some reliable exchange at the airport, as I arrive? Thanks a lot.

Visa Electron or Maestro cards definitely DO work in ATMs as these cards are frequently issued to customers of the banks which own the ATMs. There are ATMs of 4 different banks so you really should have no problem with electron cards.

Thanks a lot. You must be right - as I investigated today on web, there is the same bank in Prague as the bank that issued Visa Electron card in my home town (Raiffeisen Bank). Theoretically, it should be just fine, at least at their ATMs.

Definitely no problem with Electron cards.

For information Raffiessen bought ebanka - so you will see their ATMs too.

If desperate, I%26#39;ve used travelex at the airport to change currency, it%26#39;s a fair rate, but you%26#39;ll get better at an ATM.

if you do need cash, there are a number of exchange offices at the arrivals hall in the airport. travellex is outside the airport door on the right, once you have passed customs. the airport exchange offices have remarkably few complaints about them, unlike exchange offices in the city centre
