Grand Hotel Praha 1 Safe boxes

Hello

I will be staying at the Grand Hotel Praha and wished to know if the hotel has any reliable safe deposit boxes to store passport documents etc as I heard pickpockest are quite common and I will be a single female traveller.

I don%26#39;t wish to bring all the valuables with me everywhere

if you go to www.grandhotelpraha.cz click on the english pages and look at %26quot;accomodation%26#39;, you will see that the rooms have a safe. don%26#39;t assume safes in hotel bedrooms are completely safe - a number of people have master keys.

on the pickpocket issue, you don%26#39;t need to carry your passport with you (a photocopy should do if you get into trouble. the only ID you need is if you want to buy something expensive with your credit card and the shop needs id to verify you are the person who should use the credit card.

if you take sensible precautions like you would in any big city you should not have any problems with pockpockets - they mostly go for easy opportunities and they will go on to an easier target
