Martin Tours in Prague -- Another Warning

I see there are some other comments about Martin Tours in Prague and their terrible service. Let me add to them! We just got back from Prague and I had booked a river cruise online with Martin Tours. First I have to point out that I have knee damage from arthritis and walk with a cane. Once we got to the meeting point and bought our tickets, we boarded the bus that was supposed to take us to the docks for our tour. The tour was fine, but imagine my surprise when we got off the boat and there was no bus to take us BACK to the center of town! There were a number of us that were stranded there with no maps, no transportation, no nothing. We were evidently supposed to walk back to the town hall square. There is no way I could have done that, so we eventually did hail a taxi which cost us $10 to go back. I went to the Martin Tours kiosk and asked to have the return fare reimbursed (although I figured it would be in vain) and was very rudely told that %26quot;it says in our brochure that the tour ends at the dock.%26quot;

Of course there was no reimbursement for the taxi, but it most certainly did NOT say any such thing on the internet when I booked the tour or I would never have done so. And even then, if you were a tour provider and saw a person get on your tour who obviously could not walk the distance back to town, wouldn%26#39;t you think you would ask them if they realized they would have to get transportation back? I would have stayed behind and let my traveling companions go on the tour.

Also, when we drove on our own to Karlsteijn Castle a few days later, there were Martin Tour members there that had to pay for their own transportation up the hill to the castle, as Martin Tours did not provide any way other than walking to get up that steep hill. You would think for the prices they charge for their tours, they would provide better service. No wait, let me rephrase that...you would think they would provide SOME service! There was none evident.

My recommendation is to VERY closely scrutinize the detais of any tour you take unless you are very young and fit, and to stay far, far away from Martin Tours and their horrible lack of service.

Martin Tours in Prague -- Another Warning

never seen any warning about Martin Tours on this forum.

The river ruise tours state clearly that they finish at the Pier which is about a 5 minute walk to the city center.Not Martin Tour fault that you can%26#39;t read.I used Martin Tours recently and found them to be an excellent company and will recommend them to anyone.

WARNING!

there is a problem with the Martin Tour website in that it has a trojan virus attached to it,so be careful if you try to go there,my internet protection has picked this up and removed the files.
