Metro/Bus Tickets

Hi, I%26#39;m flying to Prague on Tuesday and will arrive in at 9:15pm. After checking out, I%26#39;ll have to take a bus and then the metro to my hotel which is near PRAZSKEHO POVSTANI.

I%26#39;ll be staying in Prague until Thursday lunchtime when I%26#39;m hoping to be able to get the 12:30 Student Agency bus service from Florenc.

Can anyone tell me which metro/bus ticket I should buy when I arrive, how much it will be, and where I will be able to buy it at that late time? Will the ticket offices still open then?

Also, is there some kind of three day ticket I can buy that I could use for all my travelling around Prague from Tuesday to Thursday?

Many thanks!

there are 3 day (220czk) and 7 day (280czk) tickets available. You should be able to buy them at the stand at the airport,it is in the main arrivals area just to the right of the exit door.Hopefully it will still be open them,i am sure someone else says it closed at 10.00 pm.

the prague transport authority offices at the airport do close at 10pm. they are in the arrivals hall once you have cleared customs wherre you see the sign %26quot;metro - tram - bus%26quot;. if there is more than one of you, as luggage takes some time to arrive in prague, send one of you through customs to buy the tickets before the office closes. as uncelgus says, the 220 crown three day ticket is worth it, especially as you will need public transport for all your trips into the city. this is valid from the airport

if the ticket office is closed and you have local money. a 20 crown ticket is all you need to the hotel from the airport. go to the news stand and buy some confectionary or water and make sure you get 20 crowns worth of change to then use in the ticket machine at the bus stop.

from the airport, you take bus 119 to metro dejvicka where the bus stops and the metro starts. then take the metro to muzeum metro where you change to the red line to take you to prazskeho povstani

for student agency, they have offices on jecna street near to pi pavlova metro which you will go by each time you go to the city where you can buy tickets in advance
