My parents are taking their first overseas trip this year, having got passports a couple of months ago.
As inexperienced travellers, we would like to help make their trip to Prague as easy as possible. We would appreciate any advise on the following:
They are staying at HOTEL DA VINCI on Na Bojisti 12, 120 00. How far is it to all of the sites? How is it best to get from the hotel
They arrive Tuesday, depart Friday. Can abyone suggest an itinerary/route for seeing the sites.
I love all the tips and advice I am seeing on tripadvisor. I hope I can get some advice specific to the location of HOTEL DA VINCI
thanks in advance

hotel da vinci is a 5 min walking distance from wenceslas square, 30 min to old town square. around the corner is a tram stop. # 22 and 23 will take your parents to lesser town, charles bridge and castle. all 3 metro lines are in a walking distance too. they may use the green line on namesti miru to get easier close to old town square which is probably the nicer area for an elder couple to go too...

on the corner of na bojisti and sokolovska streets up the hill from the old town. about 15 minutes walk from wenceslas square, but as heinokules says about 5 minutes walk from a tram station at ip pavlova metro from where you can take a tram to the castle area and old town.
if this is your parents first trip abroad and they are inexperienced travelers, then I would try another hotel. da vinci is on one of the busiest streets in prague (the inner expressway), the square where they need to walk across to catch the tram is one of the busiest traffic wise and most poluted parts of prague.
choose a hotel in the old town or castle area where they don%26#39;t have to negotiate foreign transport systems (it is easy for seasoned travelers, but for someone who has never been abroad before, all the different names could give them kittens) and can walk most places.
