Is there a train from Potsdam to Prague or do I have to catch a train from Berlin to go to Prague?
Thanks.

Just wondering, besides Die Bahn, is there other trains or busses that can get me to Prague? I%26#39;m looking for something cheap and it would be great if there%26#39;s night busses. I have an ISIC card, I wonder if that could be used.

you can go by s-bahn from potsdam to berlin, trip is 3 euros p.p. half an hour almost every ten minutes.
if you%26#39;re travelling in a group buy a berlin and a sachsen ticket online. you can travel for around 50 euros from berlin to german / czech border for up to 5 people. from czech border it%26#39;s another 5 euro%26#39;s to Prague. you%26#39;ll have to use regional trains so this may slow you down.
as single traveller or couple you can go by bus for 30 euro%26#39;s. check here:
www.berlinlinienbus.de/index.php?lang=en

forgot: if travelling on the weekend by train you can buy a weekend ticket for up to five people for 33 euro%26#39;s, valid for whole germany up to 5 persons.again only slow trains...
|||
the good thing about travelling by slow trains is you may stop by enroute in dresden for a couple of hours...
|||
but it would then probably take you 5 or 6 hours to get from berlin to dresden instead of half the time by a reasonably fast train

You can get around Europe, by bus on www.eurolines.com. After 11 September it%26#39;s 229 Euro for a 15-day pass and there%26#39;s also one for 30 days. see above website. There%26#39;s a nightbus Berlin-Prague 4 times a week.
|||
no, it%26#39;s quite fast and you only have to change trains one time.
2 hours on intercity express, 3 hours on regional express. the only problem on weekends is that the regional express might be packed on this route, less people during the week but 20 euro%26#39;s more. you can go from dresden to the border and then you%26#39;d have to wait for an ec train, fare might be around 19 euro%26#39;s ( forgot that they%26#39;ve raised prices here this year)...
