What is an average (ballpark) price be for a private guide in Prague for a day?
Thank you!

I wouldn%26#39;t have my 73 year old parents walking around the whole day in Prague. If you have more than one day, try to split it in 2 hour tours. A private guide usually gets 20 Euro%26#39;s per hour but if you book him through reception or agency comission will be charged. to get an idea try:

do you really need the guide for the whole day?

Been looking at the Prague guide website, there are so many private guides on there has anyone got any personal experiences they can share to give me a better idea of who to contact?

if you look at other posts on this forum, including one%26#39;s on this very page, there are good comments about sarka pelantova%26#39;s team from www.prague-guide.inco

sorry misposted www.prague-guide.info

My favourite is Dr. Helena Matejickova, email: guide@matejicek.com

We also used Sarka%26#39;s service:
www.prague-guide.info
as described by Peb7, and were pleased. We had two, half-day tours at a cost of (I think) about USD 300 for the two-tour total. Not sure about the exact price, because one of the others in our group paid the bill, but I%26#39;m pretty sure it%26#39;s in that ballpark. If you contact them by e-mail, my experience was that they are very good about responding quickly and thoroughly with details, including costs.
