Travel from Prague to Cesky Krumlov?

Just wondering if anyone knows the best way to get to Cesky Krumlov from Prague.Bus or Train? We were hoping to do C.K in one day as we have our 5 nights booked in Prague. Would we just be better staying for one night in C.K?

We rented a car but I would strongly recommend staying there for one night. It is so much quieter in the evenings and early mornings - an entirely different atmosphere than during the day.

Best way is by bus from Florenc station to Cesky Krumlov. Takes 3 hours, costs 172 Czech crowns one-way. Best to stay overnight, imho.

Hi

Does any know if it is possible to reserve bus tickets online in advance for journey from Prague to Cesky Krumlov? I found a timetable on idios.cz but don%26#39;t see where I can reserve tickets on that site.

Thanks in advance

Unfortunately with the most regional bus lines you can%26#39;t. You can either:

- buy the ticket in advance at the Florenc bus terminal

- or show up 15-20 min. before departure and buy the ticket from the driver.

Thanks for your response. I guess I will go to the bus station in advance and purchase the ticket. I have heard that the bus is often quite busy and as I have limited time I don%26#39;t want to miss the early bus nor do I want to stand!

Thanks for the advice :)

yes when we went on the bus we bought the tickets a couple of days before and went to queue up for the bus one hour prior to departure as we heard it was often very busy. lucky we did as the queue was very long that day and soe people had to stand the entire 3 hr journey!
