Food markets

Hi All,

Is there a good central food market to explore? I%26#39;m going to Prague in October and would like to sample/see the local produce during this autumn month.

Also, can anyone recommend to me any good antique/used booksellers in Prague and would you be so kind as to be specific with street addreses!

Thank you kindly!!!!

nope. you may try holesovicka trznice, tram # 1, 3, 5 and 25 , i guess, but the products won%26#39;t be special or so...

a used book shop i know is on behleradska street, corner rumunska, near metro i.p.pavlova. another one%26#39;s called okydoky, former the globe, in holesovice, don%26#39;t know the address. the globe is now on psstrossova street, near national theather, cafe and used bookshop.

I searched everywhere for a farmer%26#39;s market and there doesn%26#39;t seem to be anything like you might find in other European cities. I also posted the question on an expat forum and they responded that there wasn%26#39;t anything other than on the sidewalk outside of a metro station. I went to one and it consisted of about 5 vendors with fold up tables.... Nothing too exciting.

the central market is at holesovice but it is not worth visiting. the outdoor market at havelska street in the city centre near the old town sells lots of fruit and vegetables from the nearby countryside.
