Swimming Pool

We are staying in the Aria hotel and there is no pool there. My daughter will want to go swimming if the weather is very warm. Any pools nearby?

|||

there is a small pool in the spa centre of the alchymist hotel up the street from the aria, which is open to outsiders, but it isn%26#39;t cheap.

|||

FYI, the little indoor pool of the Alchymist is 300 CZK for an hour, 500 for a whole day, according to their website. It%26#39;s 100 meters from the Aria Hotel where I have also stayed (I loved the gardens to which you have access with your room key).

|||

Not a pool, but also part of the Alchymist group is the garden, down by residence Nosticova - it is like in Marocco with white sand and sun beds and tents. It%26#39;s magic at night.

Thanks for that great info. If the weather is really fine my daughter 9 would be disappointed if she couldn%26#39;t go swimming. The Hotel up the road sounds great and it%26#39;s not too far away. Many thanks again.

I haven%26#39;t done this myself, so you%26#39;d have to check this out, but I heard that on weekends, they allow non-members to swim at the Sokol sporting club headquarters swimming pool on Ujezd, right in the middle of Mala Strana. This is very close to the Aria.

I checked the websidte and it says the pool is 25 meters an is open to the public from 10am-8pm, Saturday and Sunday, for 60 CZK an hour.

Googling these three words will take you to the page, in Czech only, first result (the URL was too long to paste here):

sokol ujezd bazen

It is probably very local oriented - maybe you could get your concierge to check it out for you. They might not speak English.

Česká obec sokolská, Tyršův dům

Újezd 450, 118

BTW, Sokol is an indoor pool, as are almost all hotel pools.

One of the best outdoor pools is at Podoli, but that is not so close. It can be reached by tram, a taxi would be better. Very big, Olympic size pool, but very crowded on weekends. Weekdays better.

Thanks again for the info - I%26#39;ve the address printed. We will go to the Hotel pool first. Then if the weather is very warm we can go to the other pool. My daughter will be thrilled with this.

if it is anything like the sokol pool in reigrovy sady, I wouldn%26#39;t send my daughter there. too dirty and unheigenical
