Hotel Claris, any comments?

I had two options either the Ibis wenseslaw or this new Claris hotel, for the price that I am paying, I will like a comment about this, based on location and better hotel overall. This is my first time there and I will like to be able to walk to the main attractions.

i will really appreciate your comments.

Thanks!

the claris (in vinohrady?) is a little bit further out than the ibis, not much though and the green metro nearby would take you faster close to old town and lesser lesser town or wenceslas square. close to both hotels is tram 22/23 which will take you to the castle. still a walking distance from both hotels to wenceslas square, old town square. shorter from the ibis.

look at the reviews section of this site under %26#39;prague hotels%26#39; for reviews of both hotels

inis is more comfortable than the claris, about 5 minutes walk from good tram connections to the city and to the castle area. claris as heinokules says is further out but near to the metro which takes you to the city centre. both are not walking distance to the city (especially back when the walk is uphill), but public transport is safe and efficient in prague so this does not matter

I would personally go for the ibis out of the two, especially as the novotel next door has a pool which ibis guests can use

Thank you guys!

Then I will go to Ibis! I am going to buy the 3 days pass for the tram will get me a map and GO!!!, next time I%26#39;l visit (because probably will be a next time) I won%26#39;t use a travel agent and will do the reservation myself, reading the forum comments and asking questions will give you a better idea than anything else.(I am so excitted!!!), well thanks again and have an excellent day!

Definitely ditch the travel agent...you%26#39;ve got more cumulative knowledge in this forum than any travel agent (especially those TAs that have never even been to Prague :-)
