Hi, I%26#39;m just wondering if there are any hotels to recommend for a young couple. I%26#39;m taking my boyfriend for 3 days as a birthday suprise on the 8th sept and I would like a hotel for Max £250 for the 3 nights (about £80 per night). Although we%26#39;re in our early 20%26#39;s I dont want a really noisy hotel as we%26#39;re just after a romantic break
Thanks

look at the u karlov mostu and sax hotels near the charles bridge or try one of the castle steps apartments which do give breakfast. all are on the castle side of the river which is quieter

I work for a Travel Agents and someone on here mentioned the Icon Hotel. I had a look at it at work and i thought this was a very good looking hotel in a good location. Very modern though, so if your looking for a more traditional hotel then this may not be for you.
I have stayed at The Meteor Plaza near the Powder Tower, the Holiday Inn Express near Wencelas Square, Hotel U Brany near the Castle and also The Nerudova Apartments, again near to the castle.
If its romance your looking for then out of the properties i have stayed in i would probably opt for the Meteor Plaza (there are very many Hotels in Prague - everyone will have their own opinion on what they see as %26quot;romantic%26quot;) because this is where my partner and i stayed for our first visit to Prague. But....i loved the location of the U Brany. Do some investigating...you%26#39;ll love it...happy searching!

I think U karlova Mostu especially if you get a room with a view of Charles bridge and the river, even if it isnt aroom at the back the front has a very nice outlook, very pretty ,the hotel is very quaint and has a lovely bar where you can get a nice meal and in the winter a very welcoming log fire. Also step out of the beer garden at the rear and you can board a boat to go down the river.

I think you%26#39;ll find the U karlova Mostu is over the £80.00 mark you were looking at but i think location is everything. Its going to be more like £105.00 per night (EUR150-EUR160) but as been mentioned, the location is top notch. I think i may be booking here myself for my next visit (or maybe the Icon - more of a boutique hotel but a change nonetheless).

I would ty the Hotel Josef- very trendy, lovely rooms, great location and fabulous breakfast! You must try the chocolate brownies with an espresso - excellent. Its in a quiet street but only minutes away from the old square. Some good restaurants nearby too. The bathrooms are lovely with heated floors in winter and Aveda toiletries. We have styed there about 6 times now and would highly recommend it.

For your price range I would seriously look into Hotel The Bishop%26#39;s House, very close to Charles Bridge at Castle side , yet quietly situated at a quiet square. Find for 77£ a night at www.venere.com, see map, pictures and reviews there.

Thanks everyone, I%26#39;ll look into all those options now to see what%26#39;s available for when i%26#39;m staying :)

don%26#39;t think the icon or the josef are in the 80 pounds per night range
