peb7 on holiday

That%26#39;s it. after working almost day and night over the past week and all the bank holiday weekend (i.e. needing to do the same number of additional hours work before you go on holiday to make up for the fact that you will not be at work when you are on holiday - anyone else have this problem when they need to take holiday?), peb7 is off on holiday for 2 weeks. so don%26#39;t send me personal messages as I am not taking my computer with me.

there are three other %26quot;prague local experts%26quot; on the tripadvisor forum as well as others who either live here or visit here often and post often and who collectively know far more than I do, so this forum will not stop in the meantime; indeed it will probably be cleaner as there will be no meldrew type dry replies to questions asked; only helpful one%26#39;s

If you want to know where tripadvisor experts take their holidays, back to the bailwick to see those remaining members on the family tree and then one week on the best island in the world. Herm. no cars, no television and wonderfully no mobile or blackberry connections with the outside world. just white sandy beaches, greenery, books and simple home cooked food. A wonderful place to recharge the batteries and have quality time with the family. hopefully the weather will be better than it has been at lately (but then that never happens on our holidays).

peb7 has about 3 years worth of hotel review trips from work to post one day, but for holidays, as the cottage we rent is quite difficult to get hold of, that stays for myself.

holiday review. long tailbacks on l%26#39;autoroute. french appear to have more speed traps this year to peb7%26#39;s cost. mrs peb goes mad shopping in paris but cannot decide what she wants and when she goes back to dolce and gabana finds that what she wants has sold out. takes revenge in missoni instead.

croakies still treat their offspring as if they were still in school shorts (anyone else have this problem - it appears to get worse every year?). a few days never enough to catch up with family and friends on the bailiwick (everyone thinks that prague is near moscow and so asks if there is a polonium problem in prague).

herm - as said above, no tv, no mobile or blackberry access, no internet - pure peace. rain - actually it was good - meant we sat around by the fire doing simple things and paddling and cricket on the beach in july in sweaters in some ways was more memorable than last year when it was really hot. great simple fresh seafood, lovely cottage we stay in every year (sorry - peb7 is boring in that once i find something I really like, I don%26#39;t go elsewhere).

journey home - rain, rain and rain. at least we got home safely. back to work tomorrow

Welcome home, missed you, looking for peace after the week I%26#39;ve just spent in Mallorca (DON%26#39;T ASK), so plotting a week somewhere end of October. Hmmmm.
