Antique clocks

Has anyone found a good place to shop for antique clocks? I assume we%26#39;d have to go a few streets off the beaten path in order to get a better deal, but I think an antique made in such a historical place would be a wonderful thing to put in our home to remind us of Prague.

I%26#39;ve heard the names of the stores Antique-Andrle Vladimir and Galerie Peron as possible purveyors of Czech clocks.

Any suggestions?

we bought two antique clocks from a good little antique shop on panska street just off the main shopping street, na prikope in the old town

Thanks, Peb.

Is Na Prikope the name of the shop? It sounds like a place worth our checking into.

Na prikope is the big pedestrian shopping street off Wenceslas Square. Not the shop name.

Was the store name JHB Antiques? That%26#39;s the closest match I can find on the internet to the location you%26#39;re describing.

If so, we%26#39;ll try to get over there and check it out when we visit. Any other tips, or places, worth knowing about to find an antique time piece for a good deal, anyone?

cannot remember the name. it is 100 yards up the street on the left hand side as you walk from na prikope street. has a sign simply saying %26quot;Antik%26quot; outside it

This was about 8 years ago, but I bought an antique clock from one of the little shops on Golden Lane. It is one of my favorite souvenirs. I%26#39;ve had the clock appraised here in the States, so I know it is authentic and I did get a decent price.

I have no idea if the shop is still there, but might be worth a look.

Thanks, guys! Thanks to you, I have some good leads. I look forward to following through on them, and hopefully even finding just the right clock.

these days you need a licence to take certain antiques out of the country, but any reputable antique shop should be able to take care of the formalities
