Hello,
We are considering spending next Christmas in Austria and CZ Republic. Any recommendations for a wonderful, charming expericence. Also we are advanced skiiers and would love to get some skiing in. Any recommendations on ski resorts would be appreciated. is there skiing in the Karlovy Vary area?

I%26#39;m not really an expert but you can go skiing in Czech Republic in a resort called Splindlerov Mlin, not really in Karlovy Vary area but the same region. Also there are the Tatra mountains in Slovakia, but if you go that far you may aswell go to the Austrian Alps.

Austrian Alps are much safer bet as far as snow than Czech mountains, especially in December because in Austria you can always go to the glaciers if snow conditions on the regular slopes are poor.
Most decent Czech mountains (and they are nothing special in the first place) are mostly on the other end of the country from Karlovy Vary anyway.
