please can anyone recommend good restaurants near santini.We like good food but not silly prices.How far is restaurant David from the hotel and is it necessary to book?

david is less than 5 minutes walk from the hotel. you don%26#39;t generally need to book, although on friday and saturday it is recommended.
other restaurants nearby are cowboys down the same street which does steaks, kampa park by the river, palffy palac on valdeijnska street and further up the castle hill bella vista near the strahov monastery. the strahov monastery%26#39;s own brewery, klasterny pivovar is worth visiting and sells good czech food

I just tried this small, reasonable, new Croatian place with decent seafood, called Louka Lu. They also have Croat specialties like cevapcici -- ground beef and lamb. They had a great house wine by the glass for a great price. Interior is a little kitschy, sort of like a doll house. One tram stop or a 10 minute walk.

Along similar lines, I%26#39;ve seen recommendations for Gitanes, which also does Balkan/Mediterranean. But I%26#39;ve never been myself.

I%26#39;m planning to try a another new restaurant in the area this weekend. Menu looks good and reasonable -- tapas, seafood, entrecote. Hope to report soon.
