Are either of these places easily do-able for a day trip from Prague? Will we have enough time to see things while we%26#39;re there, or would the drives be too long, I know that they aren%26#39;t particularly far, but realize that the roads may not be that great.

Karlovy Vary is about one and a half hours drive and Cesky Krumlov about two. You can do it in one day, if you start early and you have a car.
Cesky Krumlov is very romantic and an overnight might be nice, but Karlovy Vary is absolutely doable in one day.

martina drives fast. 3 hours to cesky krumlov minimum and 2 hours to karlovy vary. if you hire a car, stay in these places rather than come back to prague. cesky krumlov especially is wonderful once the day trippers have gone home in the evening
