Our family is visiting Prague in January, we have booked an apartment through a company called arteuz with this address: Rašinovo nabrezi 38, 128 00 Prague 2
We are assuming it is central from what we have read could someone give a little information on this area? Also any information on this company would be appreciated.
Thanks

rasinovo narbezi is not central - about 30 minutes walk from the old town but there is a tramline running down the street which you can catch. it is on the river bank so you may have good views of the castle. with the tramline and the busy traffic along the street, you will need to have a bedroom on a high floor or at the back of the building if you are a light sleeper
on the arteuz website, I could not find any apartments for rental on rasinovo nabrezi

Dear peb7
The apartment is listed under Residence Standard. It says on the website 1.5 km from Old Town square, does this sound right? We have been told apartment is on the 5th floor - high enough up for view and maybe not so much noise?
Thanks

1.5 kilometers is about right. 5th floor should be quieter. the walk to the city takes you across a lot of traffic junctions. cacthing a tram is much easier and quicker

Thanks peb7
Although this was my first question on Prague forum, I have been avidly reading all the questions and answers. We are looking forward to our trip to the city of Prague.

you cannot buy tram tickets on trams. there is an office at the airport where you can buy them. multiday tickets come in 3 and 7 day version

thanks for the info on the tram tickets. We will be arriving in Prague by train, am I right in thinking we can buy tram tickets from newsagents and metro stations?
|||
correct, but question is, are you near a newsagent or metro station. at least at the transport office at the airport they speak english - you are staying outside of the main tourist area

thanks again for the info. As we are arriving by train from Budapest, is there somewhere at the train station we can purchase the tram tickets?
|||
both train stations (some of the budapest trains arrive at holesovice in the north of the city and some of the budapest trains arrive at prague central station, hlavni nadrazi) have metro stations and you can buy public transport tickets (which are equally valid on trams and metros) from these. you can get from both stations by metro to karlovo namesti (by changing metros at florenc) and then a tram if you need from palackeho namesti

Again thanks for your informative and quick replies. It%26#39;s great to know how to get to our accommodation in a strange city. Only have to wait 4 months to put it into practice.
