Hi, me and my friend are planning to visit Prague in early Sept and will be staying for 6 full days. I read off a few travel tips that recomended purchasing a city pass that allows you free entry to most museums, discount offers at some hot spots for eatery %26amp; drinks, and some offer free 72 hr in city transportaion to ride the rails to get around. Has anyone ever purchased this and would it be usefull in savings?

Hi,
We purchased the four day passes last month, not including transport.
On looking at what we would have spent on entry to the various places that we went to, the savings would have been minimal. Admission charges for most places are not expensive. We also found a little tied to the places covered by the pass, and so tended to organise our days around them, rather than %26quot;doing our own thing%26quot;. I don%26#39;t think we would bother again next time.
One thing I would say is that, while the pass itself is only limited to four days, we were only asked to produce it once; all other attractions were happy to just accept the coupon from the book that accompanies the pass. Thus, there is potential for the less scrupulous traveler to use the passes for more than four days!
Hope this helps.

if you are talking about the prague card, i personally don%26#39;t think it is worth it. a 7 day public transport card only costs 280 crowns and with the prague card, you are almost forced to try to visit as many places on the card and eating at the places listed on the card so that you feel you get your money%26#39;s worth, as opposed to visiting places that really interest you.
entrance fees in prague if you do not have a prague card are not very expensive, as are restaurants if you go off the main tourist streets
