Hi
I have read that unlike most european cities prague%26#39;s Christmas markets run from 1 December until 1 January. I am thinking about bringing my family including 2 children to Prague from 27th December for a few days. now we have been to Germany for their xmas markets 2 years ago and had a great time. we cant get away before Xmas this year so my question is: are the markets still busy between Christmas and new year and will it be suitable for children? we are having a quiet christmas at home and would love to soak up a bit of christmas atmosphere for a few days after christmas. it will be our first trip to prague. any advice is appreciated.

christmas markets open between christmas and new year. don%26#39;t expect the same standard in terms of souvenirs and gluwein (in prague drunk out of plastic cups) as in germany, but the setting in the old town square is good.
the best market for a christmas market is the neighbourhood market at namesti miru - on the green metro line
