I have just found this little gem on Travelcook,and have booked 2 suites for July for me and the wife,and our friends.
The lower floor is even listed as a top restaurant on the pragueexperience site,and has its own website
I can only find one review here for this hotel,does anyone else here have experience of this place?

I will paste the website here,showing the Rooms and Restaurant.

We will be there in early May, I can let you know after we get back, otherwise, I am wondering the same about the place as you. There are some nice comments on the feedback page of the Travelcook, though some dated, sounds and looks nice.

Went there in December 2004. Very central, full of character and extremely quiet. Highly recommended.

Thanks people

I didn%26#39;t stay at the 7 Angels Hotel, but went to eat at the restaurant December 2005 as a result of this review, referring to pragueexperience.com rating it a %26quot;top%26quot; restaurant.
7 Angels Restaurant was without a doubt the worst meal I%26#39;ve ever had: soup with frozen carrots and canned peas; inedible %26quot;pork%26quot; that was literally a slice of salt, slopped-on %26quot;sauerkraut%26quot;, stale dessert, etc. Every single item was terrible.
There%26#39;s been a lot of talk recently on the travel boards about bogus reviews of hotels and restaurants; I would seriously question the judgment of anyone who reports that the 7 Angels Restaurant serves good food.
If you see a Heinz 57 Ketchup bottle on the condiment tray like I did here, think twice.

Got to say that we were thinking of eating at this place but when we got there decided it was a bit too touristy and found somewhere else. Can%26#39;t really comment on what it is like to stay there though!
|||
Just because the restaurant may be a tourist rip off doesn%26#39;t mean don%26#39;t stay there; there are many better places you can eat at nearby, as the hotel has a good central location five minutes walk from the old town square. There are in fact 7 reviews of the hotel on this site and nearly all are positive
|||
It may be so that the hotel is okay, but I was responding specifically to the OP talking about its %26quot;top restaurant.%26quot; And many people find it a big advantage if an restaurant attached to their hotel is pleasing.
My other advice was to take the evaluations of pragueexperience.com with a grain of salt.
|||
Where possible, I always try not to eat in the restaurant in the hotel in which I am staying in. There may be exceptions; Tirana and Pristina being obvious examples to spring to mind, but by getting out, you see more of a place.
|||
That really doesn%26#39;t make any sense to me, that you %26quot;try not to eat in the restaurant in the hotel in which you are staying in%26quot;. There are many fine restaurants attached to hotels in this world; it is very convenient occasionally after a long day of touring to eat close to %26quot;home%26quot;. Further, if I choose not to ever leave the street I am staying on, that is my style of vacation and not for anyone to evaluate.
I question Peb7%26#39;s aggressive responses to my criticism, going out of your way twice now trying to put a positive spin on this.
I repeat, the 7 Angels Restaurant was TERRIBLE, so run as fast as you can away from it. And if you happen to become ill while staying at the 7 Angels Hotel and need some food sent to you room, make sure they bring it from somewhere other than their own restaurant.
