Just got back from Prague 21st July. Beer is so nice! Drink local draught beer. About 80p a pint. Stay away from bars near Charles Bridge if possible - very expensive. Bars are great down the side streets. Go to Pragueexperience.com and see the list of bars and restaurants. The Medieval ones are great fun and cheap ( stick to Czech food its good). Visit the Castle - Tram 22 - long walk! Go to Petrin Hill. Up the tower 299 steps! Great views. October should be cooler - was 90 degrees this week.!

You%26#39;ll have a great time. The hotel location is just outside the main tourist drag and here are some nearby places to eat and drink:
Beer and Czech food: Pivovarsky Dum (Name means brewery house) is on the corner of Jeèná %26amp; Lípová. Expect to pay around 300CZK (approx £7.50) for meat dish with sides plus around 30-50CZK a pint depending on what you order. About 200m from your hotel.
Breakfast, brunch %26amp; lunch. Pastacafe, Vodicova 8. Open 8am-10pm Mon-Sat, 10-10 Sun. Good for a late breakfast (if you don%26#39;t get up in time for the hotel). Expect to pay about 250CZK (£6) for lunch with a beer. About 100m from your hotel.
It isn%26#39;t Czech food, but I%26#39;ve never met any blokes who didn%26#39;t like Brasiliero, which is inside the Slovansky Dum building at Na Prikope 22. Roasted meat of all kinds, and more meat, carved at your table and a huge buffet. I%26#39;ve never met any blokes who didn%26#39;t like it. Costs 600CZK (£15) for the food, plus about 40CZK a beer.
To combine dinner with the nightclub, go to Zlate Casy. Again expect to pay around 300CZK for main dish with sides plus 40CZK a pint or 110CZK for a cocktail. About 200m from your hotel. Open until 4am.
And of course, Wencelas Square (Vaclavske Namesti) for wine, women and song. Duplex is about the best club on the square, but you%26#39;ll pay almost Newcastle prices.

Just the next corner to the hotel is a very nice pub called %26quot;Prizny Rez%26quot;. Tasty and cheap food (not only czech), try the lunch specials!
